Life, As Seen By The Dalai Lama

Have you ever stopped to question why you do what you do, and whether there may be more to life? It’s about time that we all do this, because according to the Dalai Lama, we have lost sight of what life is really about, and have our priorities wrong.

When asked what surprised him the most about humanity,  this was the Dalai Lama’s response;

“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

Is the above quote something you can relate to? What are you prioritising in your life? What are you neglecting? Could it improve the quality of your life to review your priorities, or start prioritising some of the things which you have been avoiding?

A little midweek food for thought. Let me know your opinions.
